History
Our father Brython Davies owned and showed Welsh mountain ponies since 1981, but didn’t register the Bryngwenlli prefix until 1988. The foundation mare of the Bryngwenlli Welsh mountain pony stud was 75449 Derwen Emily which was bought as a filly foal from Ifor Lloyd of the Derwen Stud.

She was shown extensively and gained many championships for us and was also a productive breeder of fillies. She produced 10 fillies and two colts. Most of her foals were shown and won several first prizes and championships. These were the most prolific:

Bryngwenlli Eluned (sire Rowfant Peacock) foaled in 1989
Bryngwenlli Ebrill (sire Rowfant Peacock) foaled in 1990
Bryngwenlli Euryl (sire Rowfant Peacock) foaled in 1991
Bryngwenlli Elen (sire Glanferri Dandino) foaled in 1992
Bryngwenlli Emily (sire Maescwm Roscoe) foaled in 1996

We have kept this line going through Bryngwenlli Elen and Bryngwenlli Emily.

She was supreme champion as a 2 year old, and also that year she was eighth at the Royal Welsh. Unfortunately she died in 2004 but has left us a lovely colt Bryngwenlli Efydd 67586.
